Originally from Texas and currently based in Los Angeles, Anne Marie Boidock is a writer-director who has produced seven narrative films to date, as well as branded content for Vox Media. Her most recent short, The Connoisseur, was officially selected at 30 festivals to date, garnering various awards along the way. In 2025, she was selected as one of 50 emerging international filmmakers for Playlab’s Creators Lab in Patagonia, Argentina, where she was mentored by Academy Award-winning Italian filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino (Parthenope, The Great Beauty).
Previously, Anne Marie worked as a creative producer for screenwriter Rob Edwards (Captain America: Brave New World, The Princess & The Frog), handling his development slate of projects for partners such as Marvel, Showtime, Nike’s Waffle Iron, Steph Curry’s Unanimous Media, among many others. Most recently, the graphic novel she produced for Edwards, Defiant, made NPR’s “Top Books” list for 2025 and was nominated for a 2026 NAACP Image Award.
Since 2022, Anne Marie has been a member of the emerging artist incubator “Craft Services” run by Executive Producer Nicholas Weinstock (Severance, Thelma). In her free time, Anne Marie runs a quarterly writers’ workshop called “Paper Champions” and mentors young writers and directors coming up in the business.
